The second day, started the real journey in Sendai 仙台. The first place we visited was a coastal area, Matsushima 松島. Here we experienced a real amazing trip on a boat.

In the early morning, we took JR train (仙石線) from Sendai to Matsushima. The station (松島海岸站) is especially for tourist to visit this great place. The train took us around 40 minutes to there. The first thing to do is to catch a boat which you can ride on for an hour to see this beautiful coastal line. That day was a sunny day, weather was perfect for a boat trip. From the train station, we had to walk 5 minutes to the pier for the boat. The boat trip is very famous.

Actually, Matsushima 松島 is with the name "One of the three most gorgeous scene in Japan". The coast is really pretty. There are so much small rocky islands that are scattering around. With years weathering, those rocky islands are sculptured with interesting shapes. But, for me, the most fascinating thing in the boat trip is those sea-gulls.

There were hundreds of sea-gulls sailing around the boat before starting the engine. When the boat started, those sea-gulls start flying and following the boat. The interesting reason is that tourists on board would feed them shrimp sticks. You know, those fried little sticks with shrimp flavor and wrapped in aluminum bag. Those birds love it so much. Tourists could feed them while they are flying. So cool. Actually, I did not pay much attention on those little islands as those birds were so attractive. Fascinating.

After a round trip, backed to the pier. We walked to our next visiting site, Zuigan-ji 瑞巖寺. It is an old temple that was built on one of those interesting shaped small island. That temple is just a replica. The origin one is located far far away. But still, it is a nice place to taste the beautiful Japanese architecture. There we found our first sight red leaves. It was exciting, though we knew that there were so much red leaves waiting for us later on.

Landscape around the temple was so nice. It gives out peaceful feeling but warm. Hanging around for a while, we walked to another visiting place, 五大堂, sorry that I could not find the name in English. That is another temple, a much bigger one. There is also a big garden surrounding. Trees are tall, grasses are nicely growing. Japanese protect old buildings and areas with really high conscious. Those
lichen on the woods are also in good condition. You know, if there is lichen that are growing nice, that means the place is with good air and nutrient conditions.
Hanging around for a while, we found a place to eat something. We ate some BBQ things, so tasty. After that we left Matsushima 松島 and head to another visiting site by taking JR again. There, Kamen Riders were waiting for us...
